Welcome to TheWanderers.in Travel and Photography Community/Forum. Before you can post you need to register. It is quick & free to do. You will need to verify your email address as part of the process, but be assured that your email address is kept private at all times (it does not get posted with your message). You can read all the threads on the forum without registering, but if you wish to participate and post messages then you will need to register.

Facebook users can skip the registration process and will be able to connect to their TheWanderers.in account with their Facebook account, and then log-in using the Facebook Connect button. The Facebook connect button is in the header at the top of every forum page.

1. Please do go through TheWanderers.in Community/Forum rules thread -> www.thewanderers.in/threads/36-Community-Forum-Rules.htm

2. Log-in: From the home page, log-in (if you haven't already) near the top right corner. (If your username is already shown here then you are logged in).

3. Read the stickies. Threads marked with a "locked envelope imaged: are listed at the very top of each board. They contain rules and information that is important for a particular sub-board. Make sure to read the stickies on a board before posting to it.

4. Members should try to post in the appropriate section of the site, Travel or Photography subsection. On the Forum main page, few lines of category description has been given.

5. Members should try to use an appropriate, descriptive title when posting a new topic. This helps others find your topic, allowing you to receive replies.
For example, please use titles that are specific to your query i.e. NOT please help!, urgent, it won't work, as these generally get less response than those with specific query in the title. Include as much information as you can about your query. The more specific you are, the more chance there is of someone knowing the solution. Please remember, no one is paid to respond to your message. People give their own time to try to help others.

6. Start a new thread. When you click the forum title you will see a list of recent threads for that forum. Near the top left you will see a button marked 'New Thread'. Click this to start a new thread (ask a new question) or to respond to an existing thread. Provided you logged in correctly earlier you will be taken to the posting page. At the bottom of the page there are some additional options to get notified.

7. Submit your post. Click 'Submit New Thread' and you will be taken to your message. When you make a new post, or want to give a detailed reply to a post, use the advanced editor -- click Go Advanced instead of replying in the quick reply box. Both Free and Premium Members have the ability to attach images to posts.

8. All images must be attached. This is to ensure that pictures never expire from threads and threads remain active as long as it is necessary.

9. Do not cross-post.

10. We recommend members do not make their email address visible on the Forum. This is an option in configuring your profile. If you set your email address to be not shown (ie private) it is only visible to Forum administrators. The Forum software uses your email to advise of replies to your own posts and to let you know when you have received a Private Message.

11. You can use Private Messaging within the Forums to keep in touch with other members without having to disclose your actual email address.

12. Taking moderation in your own hands. If you see something posted that you think needs moderating attention please use the "Report This Post" feature, the triangular icon in the corner of the post. We have the ability to remove objectionable messages and we will make every effort to do so if we determine that removal is necessary. This is a manual process, however, so please realize that we may not be able to remove or edit particular messages immediately.

13. Off topic: Please do not stray from the topic stated within the body of the thread by its creator. Threads that have gone off that topic will be edited, split or locked. Threads are posted in the wrong section will be moved. Threads that are created with no purpose other than to spam will be taken off of the forum.

Any other than these, the common general sense rules similar to that of any moderated forums and boards are applicable here too.

A special test forum has been provided if you just want to see how the forum work.
